The must watch 'TV Series' before you die

Scrubs
The true therapy you would need in this fast moving hustle bustle of a crazy life. True on screen chemistry not only between the leads but all - amazing sense of humor, comic timing and unique jokes. Fun apart it also has the main lead Dr. John Dorian [JD] learning lesson as he grows in this Sacred Heart Hospital. The scenes where the characters go into an day-dream - are hands down hilarious. The right mix characters makes this fun to watch. If you have 25 minutes to kill and want to have a good hearty laugh while you are at it and maybe just learn a lesson while you are at it- just watch any random episode of Scrubs.

The Office (US)
the crazy, the bored, the stupid, the self-disillusion, the daydreamers, the screen-saver faces...it has it all. The pranks are unique and funny. Haven't seen the UK edition - but this is brilliant. What is unique about the show is that its an ongoing interview with everyone in the office and live mockumentary - so that characters get to interact with the camera team after every small or big act or reaction, this bit makes it so much more engaging - you understand the character completely and are in sync with everyone and what they think.
outrageous, awesome pranks and actors are real life and likable.

CSI : Las Vegas
The series which taught me to watch out for blood splatter and how to collect finger prints from almost anything. The smart choice of star casts makes this watchable. You are introduced to several innovative scenes that keeps you glued and that ticket of 'attention span' does expire. Even though the concept of solving a crime over and over again may appear repetitive on face value - it just doesn't dwell in those territories. Once you have seen CSI : Las Vegas - you are bound to be hooked on to the branched-out versions - CSI : Miami and CSI : NY. Vegas is Smart, sleek dark and though provoking.

Big Bang Theory
Star Wars : Robots : Geeks : Comic Books etc etc....this one is not just for the geeks - all are invited. Though the references they makes to several movies and comic characters are so detailed - so intriguing that you want to become a geek. Sense of humor is so bang on ! the debates are fun and Sheldon as we know is "One lab accident away from being a super villain" one heck of a unique role.
Zippy, silly and always out there to out-do themselves.

24
Damn it ! One TV Series that takes the cake for being highly addictive. The show is unique as it runs in real time - no flash backs - no fast fwd - no dream sequences - things happen and they happen pretty well too. Classic split screen with clock in center showing 3 or 4 different scenes and people and they entangles stories is class apart. Other than the fast pasted, awesomely edited and big big stories and sharp acting - this show does a tremendous job in keeping you glued and introducing M. Night Shyamalan like plot twists.
Intense - Serious and contains events which actually happen - unlike in Bond movies where the bomb is saved at the end of the day etc...

LOST
Plane crash / beautiful Hawaii island / good looking people...hmmmm / black smoke monster on the island...hmmmm.  What makes it so watchable is the drop of knowledge they give us - yeah literally - they don't tell everything, seep-in the information one episode or one season at a time. All the actors have become household names and J.J. Abrams backing with a backstage 1 dozen writers keeps this show super interesting.
Mystery - suspense - drama - adventure - action - comedy - cliff hangers -  sci-fi - character development - name it and its there in this show.

Prison Break
Seen -1963 'The Great Escape' and fan of of the Cool Smart Suave Steve McQueen then here we have Wentworth Miller - a modern edition. So intricate are the settings and so well acted by many actors - no mention goes without pinpointing 'John Abruzzi' and 'T-Bag' who are class apart and make a mark for themselves. Note:- Watch Season 1 only.
Character build up - good prison tv series and smart direction.

That 70's Show
Dumbass !
A gem of a comedy series which shows kids back in the 70's wacky stuff they used to do those days. The chemistry here too is amazing on screen - as it is offscreen for most of the cast. Its fun to watch them have fun. The oneliners everyone has are the strong points and the show can go from funny hilarious stupid and then either Red kicks their ass or Kitty just laughs in the most unique way to set everyone straight. Kelso and FeZ are fun to watch anytime.
Silly, nostalgic and colorful - ever so watchable.

Heroes
A reboot of the 'Misfits of Science' on a large large scale. X-men meets Soap Opera.
Fun stylish interesting star cast...what the show really digs is your very own dream of having some super-power and
fun + imaginative + puts you in that state "wish i too had some super powers"
Note again :- Watch season 1 only.

Justice League of America
hmm, you would think - i midst of motion picture how did this animation land here ? Well ladies and gentlemen and kids of all ages - this is a must watch show for comic & sci-fi fans. The action is so larger than life that it can only be achieved in animation - if they thought of making this in motion picture....then dont ever think there will be a limit to the gfx. The storylines are extremely well made - combination of heroes and villains and plot twists - your imagination can run wild enuff and still not match what they got for you.
note :- Justice League Unlimited looses the flair as they want to get those sub-characters some story and piece of action

The Twilight Zone
"You are now entering the twilight zone" the show that instills fear to the core, the twisted things they show in twilight zone will keep you thinking for years - if it is really possible - what if ? Started back in 1950's which such an innovative and unique show. Some episode are so vast in their ideas that many have become full-fledged movies. If you have a wierd day and feel is this all happening to me ? is this real ? am i in the twilight zone ?

X-Files
"But Mulder...." "no Scully",  When you see a flying saucer or something which is just not normal - you can relate to some episode of x-files which showed plain abduction or some mass conspiracy of replacing human race with alien zombies. The x-files movie is another must watch. Great story line ups - which keep you engage through out.
the mind-boggling-bending, weird scary and interesting + at time funny is what describes the tv show which goes without mention.

Supernatural
or 'sups' as i like to call it, though that pet name was given by Flash to Superman - sups is currently running so makes sense :). hmm back to why its listed here. Well.....its here bcoz of many reasons - it has these two winchester brother who cross country driving in their impala hunting down demons, ghosts, vampires, werewolves etc and they do it in style. They cover all the known folklore and demon known to any society of any era. It has one of the scariest episodes to the one the funniest - it goes both borders.
stylish -  its does have the X-files Mulder Scully feel to it too, one believer and one skeptic.
fun + scary + adventurous + decent underlying storyline

Friends
No list of best TV series can be complete without the best sitcom ever....hands down agreed by everyone.
Each character is so well known that a simple sarcastic joke - means you acting like Chandler or stupid like Joey or Cry baby like Ross, Phoebe is so unpredictable etc. Its like a must watch for any one out there to get a feel and experience the feel good smile you will glow with once you are friends with these 6.
light fun + great drama + awesome oneliners
