full fledged internet [surfing / sync / google maps, etc>
first turn on 'Vodafone Mobile Connect' > http://www.vodafone.in/_layouts/redirecttourl.aspx?surl=existingusers/vbs/pages/mobileconnect

note:- this service is not unlimited internet, benefit is making use of usb/wifi tethering

call 111 and follow the automated system to enable 'Vodafone Mobile Connect'

configure the following on your droid >

Settings > Wireless and network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > New APN

name > vodafone_gprs

get the android app 'apn droid' - to turn on/off gprs - so its doesnt eat up battery or cost you if your using 'vodafone mobile connect'.

for most Vodafone live used to be enough with earlier phone, like in Sony Ericsson - you could sync emails, google maps, etc....looks like its not the way either vodafone or android likes it....

  3. For rooted phones, Try an app called droidwall. You can control which apps get access to the internet. Its like a windows firewall if im not mistaken.
Very good for limited data plans..
    Cheers
